The Vertically-Integrated Projects (VIP) Program

Undergraduate Design Projects in a Research and Development Context

  • Undergraduates earn 1 or 2 credits per semester for up to three years
  • Large-Scale Teams: 10 to 20 undergraduates per team
  • Vertically-Integrated Teams: Sophomores through PhD students on each team
  • Multidisciplinary Projects/Teams: All disciplines needed for success are represented
  • Design, development and delivery of sophisticated products/systems
